Oeuvre évoquant les temps difficiles de la Covid-19 où la distanciation était en vigueur. Le confinement des gens et l’impossibilité d’un rapprochement fût à bien des égards triste et dévastateur. Attendre la lumière au bout du tunnel était la seule chose à faire pour ces couples déchirées et anxieux d’un rapprochement.
This work evokes the difficult times of Covid-19 when social distancing was in effect. The confinement of people and the impossibility of physical closeness was, in many ways, sad and devastating. Waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel was the only thing left for these couples, torn apart and anxious about reconnecting.

This artwork was created to emphasize that "clothes don't make the man." Coexistence can be a daily challenge in a world where ignorance and prejudice breed contempt and malice. It's about standing tall despite everything and continuing on one's path with pride.

Cette oeuvre représente deux femmes assujetties aux travaux ménagers alors qu’en ces temps l’homme décideur accède aux paliers supérieurs de la société. Considérées par certains comme des cruches (sottes, idiotes) elles sont réduites tout au plus à un rôle de procréation et d’esclavage. La teinte sombre des couleurs corrobore la situation féminine au Canada jusqu’au 20ème siècle et malgré l’évolution du 21 ème siècle force de constater la stagnation ou le recul des valeurs sociales dans d’autres pays
This artwork depicts two women subjected to domestic chores while, at a time when men were rising to the upper echelons of society, they were considered by some to be simpletons (silly, idiotic). They were reduced, at best, to a role of procreation and servitude. The somber tones of the colors reflect the situation of women in Canada up until the 20th century, and despite the progress of the 21st century, it is striking to note the stagnation or decline of social values in other countries

Oeuvre réalisée suite à la rencontre d’inconnus défavorisés par la vie et avec qui le dicton "les apparences sont trompeuses" prit tout son sens. Ma conclusion fut que c’est dans les profondeurs que se retrouvent les plus grandes richesses et non en surface.
This work was created following an encounter with strangers disadvantaged by life, with whom the saying "appearances are deceiving" took on its full meaning. My conclusion was that the greatest riches are found in the depths, not on the surface.
